The draws for 74kg and 125kg are out. Hosseinkhani has to face Kyle Dake the gold medal favourite in the first round. He wasn't really one of our medal chances to begin with.

In 125kg Zareh who is the dark house of heavyweight has a good draw. He faces Ukraine first and then the winner of Algeria and Kosovo. The Georgian Geno is in his side and the other favourite Akgul from Turkey is on the other side of the bracket. I expect a medal from him tomorrow.

Tough to watch, but had to go back and analyze this 2018 match up between Yazdani and Taylor.

Notice that Taylor pins Hassan at least 3 times by grabbing his left leg in a straight lock. I'm sure Hasan recalls this and has been preparing for this. Hasan is also more physically fit today vs 2018 (at least relative to this video). The other issue is stamina. Both are tired by the end of this, but Hasan seems gassed out. He did well to conserve his energy in the other matchups today.

I agree. That league match was legendary. He was 9 points behind I think.

I was feeling super bummed out that I couldn't watch these matches but Shahin came to the rescue. Now I can go to bed in peace and catch the rest tomorrow.

Ive already rewatched Atri vs mongol 2x after I watched it live lol.

The no commentary version where you just hear gholamreza Mohammadi's instructions is awesome, how you can see the belief grow in atri's eyes with every passing second. Then their embrace at the end and coaches last words before camera cuts : Reza, to mitooni ghahreman e olympic beshi pesar or something along those lines.

Even if he doesn't make final he already really surprised many people with these two wins.

Yes. In 45 minutes time the semifinal matches will start. 2nd and 3rd matches will be our guys. Then after all semifinals we will have the Greco bronze medal and gold medal matches. In about 2 hours we will also have our heavyweight lifter coming on.
