It seems like Karimi is getting banned for life because IR forced him to loose a match to avoid competing against Izrael!

Do you have any sources or links so we can read the story?
If true, this is beyond pathetic. IR implements this idiotic policy of not recognizing Israel and competing against their athletes and when they get exposed about this, it is the athlete that suffers? This policy needs to be abandoned, it does nothing but harm Iranian athletes and sports.
I feel terrible for Alireza, he is a very talented wrestler, is only 23 years old and has a bright future ahead of him. I hope he does not get a lifetime ban.

NOT only Karimi BUT IRAN may be suspended for one year from all intenational wrestling competitions
TEHRAN, Feb. 15 (MNA) – The case on Alireza Karimi, the Iranian wrestler who intentionally lost a match at the U23 World Championship in Poland to avoid facing off an Israeli rival, is about to be wrapped up, with the final verdict likely to bring Iran a one-year suspension.

To this day I still don't get the vendetta these idiots running Iran have against Israel.
I'm not saying we need to be buddies with them but in every case this stupid policy has allowed a much stronger and talented Iranian athlete to forfeit to a much worse Israeli athlete.
Its a complete win-win for Israel. They win the public relations and the match.

National disgrace and international humilation.
Iran is much better than Israel in most sports. I do not know why our sport bodies continue to humilate our nation by faking injuries or losing on purpose for not facing Israelies. They should at least not make a fuss about it in sports and let our Pahlavans to go and face off Israelies and humilating them or crushing them.
