He made sooooo many mistakes in past, like making a coup with Salimi to destroy Iranian weightlifting by replacing our very successful coach Kourosh Bagheri back in 2013. we are still paying the price of that mistake.

fact 1: Rostami on his prime days start the compettion with 210-213
fact 2: Rostami claims he was injured the whole week

===> then he must be STUPID to start with 212 while he wasn't 100%.

I also believe I can lift 400kg right now but it doesn't mean I have the right to risk a medal for my country by trying that.

regarding Kurosh Bagheri ouster I totally agree. I will never forgive Salimi and co. inlcuding Rostami for that!

He is a humble guy, I'm sure he won't repeat the same mistake, Rostami considers starting with less than 210 as "kasre' shaan" !

btw the level of the competition is actually higher than what we were expecting. with the best of luck to our remaining weightlifters.

SO gold in clean and jerk was 203kg and rostami with broken knee starts at 212kg?! jeeez did they learn nothing from salimi and olympics?!

The Chilean deserved the gold today. He was the better lifter. Kianoush opened the clean and jerk too heavy. If he hit a 208-210 to start, he would have had the advantage. The Chilean had nothing to lose bc he already locked up silver and Kianoush didn’t have a good lift yet

Alll he had to do was beat the Chilean by 2 kilos (maybe even 1 if he weighed less than the Chilean).

moradi won snath at 94 kh with a 184 kg , he could have attempted world record 188kg, however he can attack clean and jerk and combine record
