Taftian won the 60m at the 2018 Asian Indoor Championships, he ran a time of 6.51s (a PB for him I believe).

not just a PB. but a new national record and only 0.01 second slower than the Asian record.
6.51 is probably enough for a world medal if he can repeat that in the world indoor championship next month.

No, I expect him to perform more in international tournaments. Since last Olympics, we just hear about him for his asian games performance (where the competition is not high)

Taftian finished 5th in the world which is a great result. with 6.53, only 0.02 behind his own record. he had some problems with UK visa and made it to the comptition only last night. I consider this a great result. top 3 was out of reach but he could finish 4th
