Insane match vs Philippines. Iran win 3-2 after battling back from 1-0 and 2-1 deficit.

Then in the 5th set Philippines initially won 20-18 but we survived thanks to a Piazza challenge that found an opponent net touch, allowing us to comeback and win the final set 22-20. Gotta feel for the Philippines as that’s such a heartbreaking way to lose. great for us!

Iran becomes the only Asian nation to reach the knockout round. By finishing 2nd in the group, we will face Serbia.

what a weird WC this has become. I was pretty sure Brazil would finish 1st in the group and they did not. now we face serbia, France gets knocked out.

iran will play serbia tomorrow for a chance to be in the final 8. we beat serbia in summer in the summer league. But this WC has been a crazy one, we can't take this game lightly. Hopefully we can win.
