Bana is an amazing coach and I hope to god when the team returns back no one starts talking shit and asking for his head. He took us to the top of the greco world and he can do it again.

What I hope for however is that we bring in new blood. It seems like we have the same wrestlers competing every single year. Wrestling is part of our culture, there is a wealth of young talent waiting to be discovered.

You bring up a good point that I am curious about. Is there fresh blood? Are there young talent that show interest in Wrestling? I do not know the wrestling atmosphere in Iran, but is it still Iran's national sport?

you are right. they are pooring money into football but not a dime for wrestling

The most difficult thing in wrestling is to stay at top form for long time once Kindell Cross the US Olympic gold medal winner told me the hardest thing to do is get motivated for gold medal the second time around it will require special person to do that in wrestling plus its like you have a target on your back and every body tries even harder to beat you. I know how hard they worked but you can not train the hunger for gold once you get it.

Is it true that Sourian and Norouzi had the same ref? I didn't see Norouzi's match.

Although their fitness was poor so they have no excuses, they both had atrocious referee calls, was this to blame in any way:

As heartbreaking as that is crying won't fix the problem. He is still the man in charge and this will hopefully be a learning lesson for him and all Iranian wrestlers.
