as it has always been in our greco at olympics, most of the time with 0 medals.
London 2012 was really execptional!
problem is we didnt build on that, due to too many changes in greco coaching staff, Bana returned too late and couldnt build fresh blood. So, we ended up sending aging wrestlers, on top of that most of them at new weight categories due to new rules etc etc.... and unfair referring, and thats where we are now.

I am writing it here again. Freestyle will be no differenet. Nasiri, Reza yazdani, komeil ghasemi and Alireza karimi will not win a medal.

The only 2 contenders are Hasan Rahimi who could win a silver/bronze and possibly but unlikely gold if he faces an easy draw, and super talented Hasan Yazdani who is unlikly to beat Jordan Barows but should win silver/bronze.

Greco I felt the same before tournament, but not freestyle!
we will do much better.

Hassan Yazdani can get silver or least bronze (because of Jordan Burroughs).
Ali Karimi, I regard as one of the best in teh world in 86 kgs, he can get Gold with a good draw, but a medal in anycase.
Hassan Rahimi, depends on his day, on a good day, Gold is in! medal def in.
Reza Yazdani, the best in the world in 97 kgs!
Komeil Ghassemi could get a medal.


I am very hopeful with Freesylers, they have had solid performances in the last years, specially the youngsters.

He was a beast in 2011 and 2012 before his injury in the Olympics semi final. He was also a beast in 2014. Now after his nasty leg injury they weren't even sure whether to send him to the games!!
