The better the Asian teams perform and gain good results, the better for our continent's football recognition and future quotas in WC/Olympics.

Brazil is in big trouble, looks like they haven't figured out what to do since their loss to Germany; of last 6 games (2016 games) they have won only two; 1 vs panama and 1 vs Haiti!!! Rest are draws and one loss to Peru!

if you look at the link you'll notice that they have been doing well only in frinedly games and not really when it matters.... shocking!

Nigeria is like Iraq, they send teams that consist of 26-27 years old at youth levels and win all of them

I don't know if I would give them that much credit. Their anti-football behavior on the field was an embarrassment.

It just shows how difficult it is to beat a team that manages to create hashieh on every tackle, free kick and substitution just to slow down the game. The Brazilians faced a grassrolling team that parked the bus with a strategy to slow down the flow of the game with their anti-football behavior. The arab teams are experts at this and we as Iranians know this very well.

Yes, and they showed up to Brazil 9 hours before their first match!
If that was an Iranian team, everyone on this forum would be freaking out.

Iran should have been there. Conflict of interest and stupid coach were the reasons that Iran did not go.

South Korea have been excellent in Rio, building off the Bronze they won at London 2012. They deserved to have beaten Germany if they didn't equalize with a deflected goal in the final seconds of extra time. The game-winner scored yesterday against defending champion Mexico yesterday was as good of a goal as you'll see in this tournament.

Japan were unlucky. Beat the European top seed Sweden, drew with South American top seed Colombia, but their 5-4 loss to Nigeria in the first match ultimately cost them advancement.

Iraq were pretty solid, but their negative antics won't win anyone over. Too much grass-rolling and arguing with refs. If they just played the damn game they might be able win games they need to like against South Africa last night, with a quarterfinal place one goal away. Lack killer instinct in front of goal - a bit like Iran.
