Euro 2016 / Copa America 2016 - Thread

Just trying to draw parallels, I've been disappointed by the quality of play here at Euro 2016. For numerous factors;
a) lots of goal keeper errors; I have not witnessed this many errors, spacing and wrong timing in a long time.
b) lack of offensive play - the EU teams are p***y who opt to play defensive as opposed to attack. In comparison, we see relentless attacking in Copa America.
c) low goal scoring and points back to the lack of offensive play and horrible finishing - and settling for 1 goal margin wins.
Pretty pathetic - happy to tune into Copa America instead.

They had a friendly with Argentina a few years ago I went to. New Meadowlands. Sold out 80,000 people for a friendly. The fans are there. Seattle is the city in America that favors soccer over every other except for possibly American football. The Portland Timbers vs Seattle Sounders is the best rivalry in MLS.

Let's go USA!!!! Although I think Lala's is an absolute clown for saying we are NOT under dogs, I still believe we can make this a frustrating match for Argentina if we come ready to play!Team Meli Iran

Barring a huge upset it will be an Argentina win.Originally posted by Ghermez Agha View PostLet's go USA!!!! I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

Of course.....I'm just having some hope due to home field advantage and seeing how well TM played them, meaning on a good day we can keep it close.Originally posted by KC McElroy View PostBarring a huge upset it will be an Argentina win.Team Meli Iran

It's already not a good day for the US: no Jones, Bedoya or Woods.Originally posted by Ghermez Agha View PostOf course.....I'm just having some hope due to home field advantage and seeing how well TM played them, meaning on a good day we can keep it close.I went to Sharif University. You're right but the beauty of the squad for USMNT is the depth, although beckerman (who I assume will be replacing jones) isn't quite as good, he is a very similar player in that he brings toughness and hassle to the pitch which is what we will red today. Zusi I assume will be replacing bedoya who IMO is equally as good. Bobby wood will be hard to replace....if I had to guess klinsman will go with wondo who I don't trust, but if somehow the young pulisic is given the chance I know he has the quality to surprise seeing how he faired for Dortmund. Let's hope for the bestOriginally posted by KC McElroy View PostIt's already not a good day for the US: no Jones, Bedoya or Woods.Team Meli Iran

How silly of me to forget how one dimensional this USMNT is under klinsman. I hope he gets tossed after this tournament, when matched up against two good teams they failed to show anything decent and showed no capability to adjust and make changes. This is something that makes me REALLY appreciate CQ.Team Meli Iran
