The US team has a talented squad (even though klinsman excluded 3-4 important players per usual) but they suffer from the same problem TM did leading up to the 2014 WC in that they lack creativity. If he would use Dempsey in his natural position as CAM or even CM we wouldn't even be having this conversation.

Costa Rica-Paraguay is every single game I've played pickup with Latin American guys in New York. Quick dribbles, some flashy stuff, then tackles and stoppages.

Brazil Ecuador game was average with few opportunities for each. Brazil's goalie made a mistake and could have been an own goal, similar to Rahmati playing in Zob Ahan game.

A joke? Pretty much every single team in South America is a good team, even Venezuela who is at the bottom of CONEMBOL WCQ is decent. By far the hardest continent to make it, there are no easy games in those qualification matches

yes theyre all good but when half the teams make it, usually there arent many upsets where Argentina or Brazil get to miss out. I believe top 4 go and 5th gets to playoff against a weak Asian or African side. Saying its a joke isnt referring to quality of teams but how its tougher to make it out of Asia, Europe, Africa than it is coming out of North or South America.
