Two of our players missed their flight back to Tehran because they fell asleep in the airport. They had to take a later flight home.
Not surprised its Mousavi and Mahmoudi - these two are always the ones who moan and complain.

May I ask why you're so happy that no Asian countries qualified? Just curious

The weaker they stay, the easier we will qualify for the next olympics, WC etc...

we have a better group, however we have to beat cuba, argentina and egypt, i am sure we can beat egypt and cuba, we play argentina 4 time in world league we can get a feel how good they are, and we have played russia, poland many times, i still believe our group is better than group 1

we already know how good argentina is, iran already played them twice i think after velasco took over argentina

That means that the quarter-final, regardless of which place we end up, is going to be the toughest match for TM ever.

If they get past the quarter-finals, though, it would be a wonder and deserves big celebration. Top 4 in Olympics should be the goal.

I thought that if any team finishes top 3 the best asian team will go through as the 4th team as well even if an asian team finishes top 3!! so why did Canada go through and not Australia!
since iran finished in top 3, an asian team would go through, what happen here

Nothing, but Asia got shafted.
Asia is the only continent that doesn't get its own qualification tournament and has to participate in these stupid qualifiers.

The 2015 Asian Championship in Iran was actually supposed to be the qualifier for Asia, but FIVB revoked that permission and that is why Iran sent its B team there instead.

That used to be the law but they suddenly changed it before this tournament. All the asian teams were angered by the decision.

so canada is the 4th team, as china and aus both lost, since france lost, we are second and poland first i believe, is still good we finish above france world league champion and we beat poland , while aus lost 3-0 to poland 2nd team
