Thats because he's RM player. You should know by now these awards are popularity contest. Same with FIFA video game ratings. You play for Barca, RM, Bayern and top English teams you're automatically rated highly. It doesnt matter how good you are for other clubs.

Ekabata jan.........with all due respect he didn't win La Liga Defender of the year because of a popularity contest, he is hands down the best defender in the world right now, he is easily the best offensive center back and defensively he is almost as good as chiellini and silva
