United is still the biggest team in EPL. Money has actually bought them happiness for many seasons. They are just past their prime years and they barely spent money this season. they let all of their players like Di Maria, Chicharito, Van Persie and Falcao which were all big signings walk. I think this season they only spent money on buying A.Martial and M.Depay. You act like Juventus doesn't spend big bucks on quality players.Originally posted by EKBATAN View Postoh how sweet would it be when they win the title at old trafford next week

one team with long history and spent probably HALF A BILLION $ in the past few years vs. a team that spent probably 10M ?
money doesnt buy happiness

Not correct, United has never been a spending team, especially in the later years of Sir Alex, for example our midfield was mediocre for many years and we desperately needed some young blood but Fergie didn't see any value in the market and due to that we missed out on a lot of players.Originally posted by babak_iran View PostUnited is still the biggest team in EPL. We did spend money but it was relative to other teams and it wasn't luxury type players but right players that actually helped better the team and continue our winning streak. Before Sir Alex left our most expensive player was Berbatov. It was only after the Moyes fiasco that we started spending stupid money and that was really for one season and it was our OWN money and yes you're correct that this year we have sold a lot of players and spent a small amount of net money on players.

Nope Most of our players are brought on discounted prices or free. Exception being Dybala and thats because we had a huge overhaul last summer (sold players and got rid of high wages) and sometimes you have to spend something. His price was nothing like what PL teams, RM, Barca spend anyway. We revive players careers actually (tevez, pirlo, khedira, llorente) and develop young players into world class players; Pogba, chiellini, Bonucci, Marchisio, dybala, morata, sturaroOriginally posted by babak_iran View PostUnited is still the biggest team in EPL. I agree with what you say, i grew up watching united. United is a rich club but they haven't really been big spenders compared to other teams in EPL and Barca and RealOriginally posted by Mr Pouya View PostNot correct, United has never been a spending team, especially in the later years of Sir Alex, for example our midfield was mediocre for many years and we desperately needed some young blood but Fergie didn't see any value in the market and due to that we missed out on a lot of players.
