That usually happens at least once each tournament with TM.
In Asia, Iran is good enough to win 9/10 games if everyone is playing at the level they're usually at. All it takes though is for one of these smaller teams like South Korea or Lebanon or Philippines to be hot on 3 pointers one day and then we're in trouble.
Regardless, GO TM GO! Good win today.
3 pointers are forever our downfall. We cannot score them much OR defend them!
its the reason we lost to France in the World championship last year, otherwise we were beating them.
I dont get how we have so many guards and small players, yet we cant find a couple of guys that can knock down 3s consistently. If these European coaches help us improve this, it can be another weapon for us.

its up to the players to perfect their craft. they have to go and spend hours and hours shooting three's..its the only way. A coach cannot teach you to shoot once you reach a certain age.Originally posted by EKBATAN View Post3 pointers are forever our downfall. We cannot score them much OR defend them!

Iran beat India 88-66. India got a lot of lucky shots, but still way too many mistakes.
What makes me happy is that the German coach seems to scare our players and they really respect him.
Also the young players are much better tactically, they just need to lower how many mistakes they make.

so true! When he was recruiting Arsalan, he promised him everything is gonna be different with him unlike the scum before him and I guess he was right. Hope he stays long enough until Arsalan's Sarbazi is fixed. On a related note, it's the first time I see samad playing defense!! Yet another piece of evidence the coach is really good! I think he told him if you don't play defense I will cut you!Originally posted by Nokhodi View PostIran beat India 88-66. India got a lot of lucky shots, but still way too many mistakes.

I know one opponent that iran has in this tournament...And that's no team but Iran!
If they decide to take their foot off the pedal thats the day we're gonna be in trouble. I saw a bit of China-Sokor game and China wasn't that good. Philipines have their problems as well...We are clearly the best team in Asia talent wise and organized better than others. I hope Bauermann motivates them even more like there's a flame under their ass.
I miss Arsalan on this team, get that contract in the NBA and get urself ready for Rio boy.
