Nothing happens. Like O-zone said, we get to wait till next year where we will play these tough teams again. Who knows if we'll do any better next year.

Although, aside from the World League, there is still the upcoming AFC championship and the World Cup this year.

Not really, cause only the best teams have a shot at winning it all. The rest play to earn the right to join the best.

Our only hope now is that USA win both games against Poland, and we win both against Russia. hence we will have 21 points, they will have 20.

Terrible game - blocking was particularly bad today.

But we're still mathematically in it... Poland has to lose both of their games (with no more than one point) and we have to win both of ours without dropping any points. It's highly unlikely, but not impossible.

You have to realize that this is not the volleyball world cup, this is the World League, which is played annually. Therefore this competition isn't even as important as the upcoming volleyball World Cup (starting in a few months).

That is where we will be playing with minnows and do some thrashing. (We are grouped with the likes of Argentina, Japan, Venezuela, Canada, Australia, some African teams, etc...)

Iran is clearly the favourite against those teams.

No that world cup is not important. its only olympic quali otherwise this world league is more prestgious to win. Only the 5 big countries has won the World League last 15 years

The World Cup is more important than the World League ranking-wise. There are many more points to be obtained at the World Cup, as well as a possible direct Olympic Qualification, which the World League does not have.

- The winner of World League gets 50 ranking points.
- The winner of World Cup gets 100 ranking points.

Still hats off to our team - remember we still won 10 out of 14 home games at the World League against top teams, which is an impressive stat

Yes I'm definitely proud of our Volley team. So much progress has been made, and there is always more to learn.

And who knows... maybe next week with some crazy luck we manage to advance from the group. But don't count on it!
