Instead of merely talking about it here, someone should write a letter (petition) to FIFA and other important sports media, complaining about the issue... Qatar's move most likely breaches a rule.

Davari is born to an Iranian father in Germany. His situation is nothing like this Brazilian guy.

As far as I am aware we played Germany twice, one in '98 WC and the other a friendly in 2004, we lost both games 2-0.

That edinho thing is so ridiculous. Dude wore Iran's jersey for a photo shoot and an interview, where he said he would like to play for Iran. He said it, it was a wish. The IFF didn't ask for or invite him. But well, the whole thing was taken seriously by some members on PFDC

He cannot play for Qatar unless he has lived there for 5 years. That changes if his parents or grand parents are from Qatar.
.... At the end I am nothing other than ordinary

Edinho has probably lived in Iran longer than most members here.

Plus, he lived at least one year in Kerman. That alone deserves citizenship.....

they do it NON STOP in every sport. From Weightlifting (bringing ex Russian/Soviets) to football.... they can actually field up a football team witth NON native Qataris... no kidding. They nearly can!
10 years ago they neutraliazed a lot of African players into their football. That was not enough, now they go to Brazil... so whos are next?.... German??? looool
