It's too late to replace Qatar. They have already invested billions of dollars for the World Cup. It shouldn't have gone to Qatar in the first place, but all this stuff was known before Qatar was even chosen as the host. I think it's just part of the FIFA elections of next year.

It's too late to replace Qatar. They have already invested billions of dollars for the World Cup. It shouldn't have gone to Qatar in the first place, but all this stuff was known before Qatar was even chosen as the host. I think it's just part of the FIFA elections of next year.

Think about the 1986 Men's World Cup in Colombia or better yet the 2003 Women's World Cup in China.

I don't know why the 2003 Women's World Cup was moved, but I highly doubt China invested a billion dollars for that event. As for the 1986 World Cup, Colombia withdrew because they didn't have the money to host a World Cup so its not really a comparable situation.

It's very comparable. The current case for moving is stronger than any of the other two I mentioned. If there is reason to move a World Cup, and the reason is a host's own fault (i.e. cheating and not to mention slavery), no one will give a damn how much they have already invested in it.
It's like someone bribing a ref and then when he gets caught saying "How can you overturn the result and declare me the loser? I already invested so much money in this game."

You have a good point, but I doubt that Qatar is the first country/host that has bribed FIFA. I believe the biggest party to blame for in this case is not Qatar but rather FIFA. If the big countries want to make a statement, they should all unite, boycot FIFA, and create a new World Football Federation.

Anyways lets wait and see. I wouldn't mind seeing it moved.

Qatar is owned and operated by the British. They are behind the push to have them selected to host the WC but are hiding in plain sight so to speak. When you compare the glorious land and civilization of Iran to that of the dot qatar hosting a WC, it is downright preposterous.

They might not be the first but they are the first to openly admit to the bribing even though they blame it on bin hammal and say he did so on his own. The boycott will happen if FIFA insists on going on with this which is another reason why it will be moved as FIFA cannot afford to have a World Cup without Brazil, Germany, England, France, Italy and all of its big time sponsors.

It will be moved. They will appease Qatar by giving them an Asian Cup or some other tournament. When you have major sponsors who invest more than Qatar has in the WC long-term (e.g., Coca-Cola, Addidas, Nike etc.) saying they will boycott if bribery/human-rights violations are found to be true, FIFA can't afford not to move it.
