long story bro, you gotta read the whole threadOriginally posted by ایرانی View Postwasn't this guy a rising star in the ncaa competition, how come he hasn't got an nba contract yet?!
basically he did really well in ncaa, went to sweet 16 with his team, surprising 2 really good teams and lost to the eventual champions. He was drafted by 76ers but 76ers had other plans of tanking for a few years to get good draft picks. So they intentionally were sucking, therefore they let Arsalan play for non-US teams like in Iran or China. As the NBA rules go, Arsalan couldnt play for other NBA teams unless 76ers released his rights. They hold his rights for 2 yrs, which ends this summer. So either he will get a contract from 76ers next couple of months or he is free to go to another NBA team or just say screw NBA and go play for another country and make millions. He still has a chance of playing in NBA, we will find out soon.

Do you think another NBA team will want him tho?Originally posted by EKBATAN View PostAs the NBA rules go, Arsalan couldnt play for other NBA teams unless 76ers released his rights. if the story about him being offered a 2 year contract is true, then he really missed up. you have to cash in while it is "HOT". the longer he stay out they longer he will look like big bust. at least everyone knew this guy couple of years ago, people in NBA are very myopic and with short memory. they forget just as soon as they pick you.Originally posted by Wahid Dejagah View PostThis guy seems to have flopped big time.
He appears to have disappeared from the surface of our planet.
Wish him all the best, he destroyed NCAAIRI = FAILED

he will feature in the summer camp and he can show case himself again to other teams if they forgot about him.Originally posted by Wahid Dejagah View PostThis guy seems to have flopped big time.

philly has the # 3 pick this year + 3-4 second round picks. So depending on who they pick and keep, then they will make decision on arsalan.

I follow the NBA religiously more than any other sport. I'm telling you that Arsalan will probably never make the NBA. Best case, he will make the DLeague and might get called up for a 10day contract. The NBA is getting more stronger and talented year by year and he just doesn't have the talent to keep up. The 76ers own his rights and with the picks and cap space they have, there is absolutely ZERO CHANCE he will make that team. Most decent NCAA players don't even make the NBA and just make a career in Europe or somewhere.

Yes. IMO he's too undersized for a PF. And if you're a undersized PF your outside shooting should be good but Arsalan's outside shooting isn't good at all. He should try to be like Draymond Green, he's an undersized PF aswell but his outside shooting is really good and that's why he gets to start for GS

I knew Draymond green was going to be the biggest steal of his draft class two years. The Heat could've gotten him and become even stronger last year. But back to the issue, Arsalan first needs to hit the weight room if he ever wants to be on that level. Draymond has a tough strong build which allows him to cover any player in the league. It also doesn't hurt having the Splash bros. around him creating open shots for him. So maybe if AK fell to the Cavs, then someone like LeBron could help him out but his body just wont cut it in the NBA.Originally posted by Khashayar R View PostYes. IMO he's too undersized for a PF. LOL what are you guys talking about size? Arsalan is same as draymond green and others in his position. NBA is not a big man league anymore, big guys (centers) are like 6'10'' now, not many 7 footers left. PF are 6'7''-6'9''
Its about your basketball IQ and how you use it. 76ers would not have kept him this long if they werent interested. Lets just see how the summer league goes.
