I guess it was too much to ask, AK took the right path though, so I think he will get there eventually.

AK is still in their roster and I didn't see a single source confirming officially he will play in Iran next year.

Barring a last minute change of heart by management he is going to Iran. It's either the NBA or petroshimi. That is a fact----1990 TM, You will always have a special place in our hearts

My feeling is exactly the same. If you ask ak he says Iran is a 100% but I have a feeling that he doesn't want me to have any expectations. But this is my personal belief that he hasn't closed the door 100% either.----1990 TM, You will always have a special place in our hearts

No money and 2 year contract. The other problem is 10 man rotations that is customary in Europe.----1990 TM, You will always have a special place in our hearts

i think 76ers are DO DEL about him right now....thats why he's still around and going to practices everyday. am i right about that? he does practice with them
so....they are keeping him around still...if they didnt care, they coulda just let him go like a month ago but they still havent made the final decision. im still keeping hope alive they'll come to their senses and give him a damn contract...its not gonna hurt them.
Thats true but i kinda understand why he's choosing Iran. If they hate on him in europe like they do with most our athletes and somehow he doesnt get playing time then his NBA career will be at stake. in iran he will play and he will get to practice his shooting. Europe is competitive, so he cant just take shots during the games...in iran he can miss 10 shots and it wont matter.Originally posted by persian-eagle-13 View Posti still do not understand why he does not want to play in Europe!! he needs to be a little selfish and think of his own career right now. europe would be just as good if not better for him then nba in this stage of his career!!

What practice?? He is here having kabob and joojeh kabob with me
He is practicing but not with the team.
Team is not do del ekki jaan in my opinion. This year's Philly team is going for the Andrew wiggins sweepstakes and they will have an all time worst record. It's actually good if he doesn't play with them. I am thinking they either think he will be a good backup 3 next year or they can use his rights to put him in a trade package which is shy I think if he doesn't play this year his rights will be traded next year.----1990 TM, You will always have a special place in our hearts

It is funny you should say that cuz the warriors wanted him too. Too bad fkin Philly doesn't release him. I am telling you guys the sixers want him for next year. All I know is that this is NOT the end of ak in the NBA.Originally posted by Sharkie View PostI really wanted him to go to the Warriors!!----1990 TM, You will always have a special place in our hearts

Of course. AK is that blue-collared athlete that every coach dreams about. Coach Petrino, who led Louisville to the NCAA championship, praised AK for his game.
I had a strong feeling the Warriors would have liked AK because they have nobody to replace D. Lee or H. Barnes. He would have came into the perfect situation. Plus, there is a large Iranian population in the Bay Area.
The 76ers will keep his rights. Like you said, they want to be in the #1 draft sweepstakes. But at least AK will be able to make more more money and playing time abroad to support his family. He's a class act and I wish him nothing but the best.
Thanks for keeping us updated, Aziz.

so AK is gone to Iran
i wish him luck, he's a very positive kid...he will be back next year but sucks for us we have to wait a whole year to see him. and hopefully nothing goes wrong by then. 76ers now say they will take him but who knows they might draft someone in his position or buy another player. I just hope whatever they do, they at least trade or sell him to another team. It sucks that they didnt allow him to play in NBA, they coulda got rid of him but they didnt.
Kind of an @ hole move really...saying hey im sorry we dont need you this year and we're not gonna allow u to fulfill your long awaited dream as well until next year....

Them being in the Andrew Wiggins sweepstakes is the reason he should be on the team. What better time could there be for them to give a guy like Arsalan playing time and let him grow and develop in the NBA? If Kazemi today does not fit into Phillys future plan, I dont see how next year a 24 year old fresh off a year in the Iranian Super League will. I dont see him coming back next year, at least not to Philly. I was also 100% sure he would be on the sixers roster this year, so lets hope the pattern of me being completely wrong continuesOriginally posted by persianbruin View PostWhat practice?? So I am going to the airport tomorrow afternoon to see him off. Sad for me and his fans here but it's all good for him.
On a separate note, nypimp, I agree with everything you say except that he won't be back. You see this was the plan from the beginning. They told him either leave for a year and then come back for a two year contract or 2 year contract to begin with. Normally I would never post my text exchanges with him online but now that he is a goner for sure, look at the date of when he told me this. It is from 2 months ago
Bottom line is if they didn't want him they would have released him and he would be a warrior now.Attached Files----1990 TM, You will always have a special place in our hearts
