If the cancellation was related to the shir o khorshid flag as reported by BBC, then I do not see why do you insult Iranians of LA. Instead, insult IR and their cronies who link all sport events to politic. I, as Iranian, do not want to carry IR flag. Why should it be problematic for you?

I hate IR just like many other iranians. Thats not the issue. We already know they are pricks and those protests should be separate from something like this. Why make a big deal about it before they come to give IR a chance to cancel?? if they were smart, they would've kept this a secret and showed up to the match to throw it in their face. That woulda been much better than giving them a chance to leave. So now IR is the winner, cuz they got away with it.

The point is its everyones fault, the LA irooni shahis and IR cuz the whole purpose of this event was to SAVE the sport for the olympics and they screwed our wrestlers, the fans, the US federation and everyone who has been pushing this thing to get publicity. It would've made the news bigger if they came to LA as it was the main event rather than the new york one. So in the end, they killed the whole thing so thats why i say these people are selfish. Showing up at some even to fosh some random IR officials isnt gonna change shit. If they want change they need to learn how to unite and compromise, not yell out some curse words and think its gonna get rid of the scums.

No way and not true at all. I remember, IR was asking French police not to allow Iranians having shir o khorshid flag while Iran was playing 1998 WC. Many shir o khorshid flags were thrown in the garbage by the French police bc at that time, France tried hard to have good relation with IR.

unfortunately too many political forces in LA iranian crowd, from shahis to all the other stupid old farts on tv who talk a big game but wont do shit in life. These people will never let any kind of IR presence go uninterrupted in LA area. Its their own selfish motives and not understanding the concept behind this whole thing. The whole point was for people to enjoy this sport and help bringing it back to life. Not ruin it with political stuff. i hate IR just as much, but im disappointed in not being able to see our most beloved sport in real life for once. The sad part about this is those who went to politicize this event, arent even fans or ever watch the damn sport! so they wanna ruin it for everyone cuz its the closest chance they had to stick it to IR. you can't categorize all in the 'jerk' categroy.. what if someone (from those LA pershians) lost all his life's asset, or a friend or a relative to I.R.'s looters or for the sake of Iran (in their view) wanted to be part of the protest; or simply is a shahi and this would be one of their few chances to express their feelings toward I.R. .

I think blame is on whoever who pulled the sportsmen... stop being selfish about 'watching live' events ; send $50 to a charity/zoorkhooneh in Iran to show support.
