They don't get paid shit....you make 50 grand, have to pay your agent, trainers etc. you'll make a little more on sponsorship, and still only fight like once a year. He got lucky to get that bonus, without the submission his rate for the fight would be very little to support him.

Hello guys, those who are curious about Reza's controversy. Here is an update with his "official" facebook page, it seems pretty legitimate. Although the final verdict will be given August 16th, it seems like with the second trial Reza has been "Set free."

تا صدور رای نهایی دادگاه, دقایقی قبل رضا آزاد شد.
Today the second session of Reza Madadi's trial was held, it was shorter than the previous one and resulted in Reza being set free awaiting the verdict. The verdict will be delivered on Friday, August 16th at 11am.
رای نهایی دادگاه در تاریخ 16 آگوست ساعت 11 صبح اعلام خواهد شد.
I will update you guys again after the final verdict, all the best to Reza, hope to see him fight in the UFC again soon!

Being a fan of Reza, Ive followed this case very closely. Unfortunately, the way things are looking he will get sentenced to minimum a year.
