I'm from Isfahan too. Not sure how true this is but my cousin in shab yalda told me he knows some of jamali's family and they claimed that the kid hated Iran as in the gov, akhoonds, police, etc and always talked about wanting to leave Iran for a better life but no one knew he would become a vatanfoorosh. I guess he did it for the citizenship...

That is interesting to hear. But doesn't justify playing for another country. I am sure many of our other athletes, specially basketball players hate IR too!
