Newly acquired center Hamed Haddadi did not report to Toronto due to work visa issues and last played for Memphis on Jan. 25, leaving him out of shape for his first practice Saturday. He was on the inactive list for Sunday’s game and likely will stay there for a while. The NBA’s first Iranian player did feel welcome upon arrival in Phoenix.

“There are a lot of Persians in Phoenix, and I got a lot of messages that they support me,” Haddadi said.

meh i wouldnt read too much into that...they just had to say something about him not playing so conditioning was the first. which in a way is true, he has not played in couple of weeks so even the likes of kobe will be considered not fit after not playing for so long. Anyway i doubt he would be able to play until he practices with the team for at least a week, he just arrived couple of days ago, no way he will know how to play with the team yet.
