Men's Football 5-a-side
Iran won against Great Britain 1-0 today!
And in Men's Sitting Volleyball..
We won against Bosnia&Herzegovina 3-1 in sets!
And if I'm not mistaking I think we won against Bosnia in the final in 2008 Paralympics

Zahra Nemati's Gold medal is extremely significant - she is the first female Iranian Paralympian to ever win a Gold medal at the Paralympics.

It feels like I'm spamming this thread but guess what... We have another medal! This time in Powerlifting and it is a GOLD by Majid Farzin in the -82,59 Kg category.
And this means that we now have 10 medals in the games and 6 of them gold and I'm pretty sure we will have more medals! And now we are ranked 9th in the medal count.

And we have another medal! Our 9th medal in Javelin by Abdolreza Jokar who gave us a silver!

Iran has now total of 8 medals, wow!
And a cool note about Zahra is...
"She competed in taekwondo before her legs were paralysed. She was a black belt and was in the national team. (sharghnewspaper.ir, 24 Jul 2011)"
Thank you Zahra!

must be a cool experience, they need the support of the iranians the most.Originally posted by HuSsAiN View Postgreat atmostphere, i wish all pfdc members were here to cheer our paralympians.
Me and SyedHamed Solhipour (whos competing tomorrow in the -90kg)

Me and Siamand Rahman (whos competing wednesday for the 100+kg)

Me and the Gold Medalist for -60 kg Nader Moradi

I gave my Iran flag to Siamand Rahman, and wished him the best of luck. He is confident of getting Gold..
Tomorrow we have few players featuring in the athletics, I expect few medals.
Also, went to the volleyball game vs Brazil, comfortable routine victory. Tomorrow playing vs Bosnia (Runner-up in 2008)..
I love how all our athletes come to support each other. For example, for today's Ali Hosseini's game, Siamand,Nader and few others came to cheer up. Love the team spirit.
well done Hussain.
