Yazdani could've beat the Ukranian and the american. Regardless, we are proud of him. It was a olympics to remember. Lots of great moments, a few unbelievable decisions.. But overall a very strong performance by Iran. You have set the bar high, and now you have to come back even stronger
Thank you to all our amazing athletes that gave it their all. long live free iran

Very sad for Yazdani. Great heart getting up again. As for Iran's wrestlers. According to the bookies we had 2 favourites for Gold today. None of them made it. Our wrestling programs need an overhaul I think in terms of better conditioning. Our guys dont seem to have the aerobic stamina of the other guys. I think 2016 is going to be very difficult for us. Overall a good games for us...now back to watching TM draw with an Arab team

Our athletes have reconstructed our image of what we call Iran. They have redefined the virtues of what we want to belong to and they have cleared the name of this beautiful country from all the shit that has been thrown onto it by those who pretend to be Iranians. Therefore we should be grateful and remember the names of these athletes!

I think our biggest competition in wrestling is going to be Azerbaijan in the upcoming years. Iran must train hard, and definitely work on their stamina if they want to stay on top

I agree with you on how our women are not supported at all. If we wanna compare Iran to other nations, we gotta split their number of medals by two, as all our 12 medals have been won by our male athletes. Other than that, you are wrong.Originally posted by javad-jaleb View Postyou glass half full types are the reason iran has gone down the drain

There is definitely lots to improve upon, but, in compare to the state of things that our beloved country is, we did pretty decent. The sweetest thing was the silver in athletics, first ever medal in the sport, it was unheard of before to get a medal there. Also we had a good runner in men's 800m who went to semi finals and finished 6 out of 8. So yeah I'm really happy about the results, it is promising. if we get the facilites right, do funding, find and nurture talents we can be great. Even now we are the best team in middle east/Africa, standing at 16th in the world.Originally posted by javad-jaleb View Postno volleyball qualified no basketball qualified soccer in ruins...womens sports nonexistant...the list goes on and on
