See I knew you didn't know what Iranic people means... Nothing to do with Persian language... It includes all Afghans, Kurds, Ossetians, Pashtuns, Tajiks and so on.Originally posted by Nader25 View Posthala manzooret in boode ke zaboone moshtarak farsi hast masalan, in defintion inja ghalate, wrong forum to discuss such things.
You are right this is not the right thread. But please don't go around calling people chauvinists when you don't even know what they are talking about.
EDIT: Sorry to everybody, I saw Martin-Reza's post after I had already posted. I will stop now.

It says on Wiki that the scoring in that final was 9-8 in favour of the Turkish guy. He also looked a lot busier in this fight. I don't know anything about Taekwondo. Can someone who knows about the sport give an honest assessment of what Bagheri's chances for Gold will be?Originally posted by K. Nader View Post

If you want a brutally honest assessment, I'd tip Tazegul to win the Gold. Bagheri is extremely defensive (contrary to the clip above) and that prevents him from taking overly large leads. Tazegul seems to favour the heads shots (worth 3 points) and if manages to land those early, Bagheri will be required to go on the offensive, exposing the center of his body bad (2 points). Movement will be key for Bagheri - it will make it harder for Tazegul to go for the 2 point and 3 point kicks (instead, he'll probably play it safe and use side kicks or roundhouse kicks).Originally posted by Khashayar View PostIt says on Wiki that the scoring in that final was 9-8 in favour of the Turkish guy. Given Bagheri's lack of major movement and combination kicks in the last two rounds, I'm hoping that he's been saving some energy for this match. The sets may be short but it's extremely exhausting when you're sparring in all that protective gear.

Good call.Originally posted by Shogun_Rua View PostBagheri will get Gold or Silver. I think he will get to the final and will probably face the current champ from Turkey who he lost to in the final of 2011 world championships and the Olympic qualification tournament, although he did beat him in the 2009 worlds.
