I'm really beginning to get enough of some people ruining every thread with their anti-Arab/anti-Islam/anti-whatever political/religious shit all the time! So what he said "Mashallah"?! If he wants to say that, who are you to tell him not to?! If you want to use any other word to congratulate our athletes, go ahead, but don't start changing the topic of the threads all the time!

And half of our words are Arabic, words we use all the time on a daily basis! Don't tell me everytime you meet someone you say "Dorood", and not "Salam" for instance. Half of the kids on PFDC can't even read or write Farsi and barely speak it properly and they are telling some grown men what words to use and what not

    I don't see what's funny.. You're trying to hard.

You and the others who try to undermine the commemoration of our players is beyond sad.

Second and this goes out to all you guys who turn a trend into a different discussion when we all need to happy that with all the odds against us we are currently sitting on the 12 place on the medal rankings, what I fail to understand is why cant you just be happy and leave the rest of us all that actualy care to enjoy this day. We forget that this is a football forum and a sport forum.

No word in any language will change anything, period.

So all of you who don't care about our amayzing accomplishment go get a life.
If you weren't such a knucklehead you would see that I DID in fact praise our accomplishments!

Sorry, it is the wrong forum. This forum is about football and that is why most give it a look. So topic moved.

Or "dorood bar" will work as well.

The first medals are the most difficult. Once the flood gates are opened, they keep coming!

Now Iran needs to also focus on other areas such as swimming, cycling, Judo, track & field...

The winter olympics are also another thing to think about.

PK jan, I agree with you to a certain extent. But the players in PP and SS are very porroo, overrated, overpaid and really don't do much to improve themselves. Sure we don't have a ton of facilities, no decent youth programs, government is in control of clubs, dallals, corruption...etc., but doesn't all this apply to our Olympians as well? Even our volleyball team, despite not making it to the Olympics, is making vast strides and constantly improving. Our basketball team is getting better too.

At some point, it comes down to the individual and the amount of gheyrat they have. Many of our footballers are spoiled and can't improve, or don't care to improve. They're happy with just the money! Conditions in Iran were no better in 1996-2000 yet at least we had players who actually cared and were willing to go to Europe at the risk of being benched, injured, and with less pay. You don't see that anymore. Now it's just PP, SS, or some Qatari club. Why couldn't Hosseini stay with Sepahan, who actually plays really good football, and help them win the ACL for Iran for the first time? Instead, he decides to go to a rotten PP team full of corruption for a few extra zeros in his bank account.

Anyway, a thousand thanks to our Olympians! They did us proud.
