Hossein Reza-Zadeh has won gold again!!

This guy is amazing!! What a sportsman....geez I wish I could have the determination and mindset to achieve what this real-life super hero has done.

He won gold with his only first lift of 251kg which was an amazing 5kg above his closest opponent!!

Wonderful! Bloody brought tears to my eyes.

A big clap of the hands for this guy. Amazing! His lifts in Sydney Olympics were up there in my greatest ever sporting memories (seconded only by Irans victory over Australia in 1997) but his done it again!

Zendeh-bad Hossein!! Hamey asheget haste-tim!

He actually lost his gold in the Snatch category to the Russian competitor. He ended up with 2 golds and a silver(gold in "clean and jerk" and total). But still something to be proud of. Congrads to Rezazadeh and all Iranians. Cheers.

PS Snatch = Yekzarb, Clean and Jerk = Dozarb.

The Russian guy got very lucky on the last lift. He was using his MAXIMUM strength and lifted with tremendous difficulty. Probably if Rezazadeh went after the Russian he could've got the gold in snatch too. Since he could've observed the Russian's weight selections.

Anyways, he got 2 gold 1 silver while the russian got 1 gold 2 silver. MASHALLAH REZAZADEH!!!!!

Yes, I think Rezazadeh was as surprised as we were when he saw the Russian guy lift 211Kgs. He simply didn't expect it. I wish our hero had another chance. I'm sure he would have lifted a heavier weight Cheers.

I know what you mean about the slug-fest though. Some people reckon TM wasnt motivated against Macedonia, if this is true I hope Branko shows them Reza-Zadeh performances and they become inspired to be Number 1 in the world!
