very unlucky, we went in to this event with two gold medal hopefuls but came out with one bronze. rostami almost had it too..he won the worlds but finished third in this Olympics. we have many medal hopefuls in free style and greco roman wrestling hopefully that will make it a good Olympics for us.

Hopefully, since our first strong sport was today and we won a medal, our future even stronger sports should give us more medals, hopefully a couple of gold medalsOriginally posted by footballeirani View PostIran will do fine in these Olympics. Just wait until the end and that has nothing to do with the government. Like I said North Korea has 4 golds. lol

Lesson learned from this thread:Originally posted by Adesor Vafaseya View PostOK GUYS!
footballeirani, K.A etc...
Please refrain provoking eachother! We don't have to agree on everything, BUT we do have to respect eachothers oppinion and refrain from insults, provokations etc...!
Otherwise you would have ruined this threads for others and more warnings etc would come!
Please keep cool head and move on.
Thanks!

Thanks.Originally posted by AllStarMomo View PostHe is in group A!
But Ilya Ilin(KAZ), Artem Ivanov(UKR) and Aleksandr Ivanov(RUS) are stronger! so bronze would be great for iran!
Hopefully, Mohammad-Pour will exceed expectations and surprize us

He is in group A!Originally posted by Kaiser Amir View PostI see that tommorow we have Saied Mohammad-Pour in the 94kg category in weightlifting.
He is placed in group B which is for less important lifters.
Does this mean Mohammad-Pour hasn't any realistic chance of a medal?

From page 2 of this thread. lolOriginally posted by Kaiser Amir View PostSeems like this is going to be a disasterous Olympic for Iran.
No medal so far, Roudaki out injured...
What else can you expect from a country where sports, like everything else, are in a catastrophic state.
Everything is a disaster. Its always a catastrophe.

You're right Asghar Agha Jan.Originally posted by Asghar Agha View Postno worry Amir jan. He did it to me also trying to control what I post. Better not to pay attention on what he says.
I lost control because he ruined what should have been a 100% celebration topic with his comments.
OK!
I may not be the most optimist person on earth, but in this thread I merely posted what IRIB expert said on live TV.
And the IRIB expert was a former Olympic champion in weightlifting.
I mean, when you accuse me of being a pessimist for posting an Olympic champions comments, then what can I say?!
Anyway, begzarim.
I appologize to other members for engaging in a yek-o-do with this guy and ruining a happy topic.
