I don't think he's wrong in what he's saying. Look at the closer analogy: qatar parked a bus in front of their goal and with anti soccer gained a point in a competitive match against us. So which country is happy about gaining a point and which one is pissed? As far as tactics and goals qatar won, even if it game in the shape of a tie.
Had this been a friendly game, I would have said the opposite.

Lalas has always been known as an idiot who has no understanding of football.

When I was in the US my American friends hated seeing the guy on tv. His views are so clearly biased. I'm surprised they let him back on TV after his horrible performance during the WC 2010.

This Qatar-Iran game reminded me of the opening game of Iran versus Thailand in the Asian Cup 2004. Well of course back then the result turned out different because there was a young Ali Karimi (the Asian Maradona) who finally dribbled his way through the dense Thai defense and set up Enayati for a simple tap in. After that Thailand opened up and team melli scored another couple of goals. This time around though, Karimi was perhaps a bit too old to do his usual magic.

Germans sound like robots because they are very ashamed of having an accent. They are perfectionists and make fun of their own people when they have accents. Germany as a country is quite cold and robotic.
But mike ballack was totally right

barca chelsea same scenario, the better team lost point
And Qatar are not exactly England either now are they?

Well I have two German friends and have met many more who speak English with 'emotion' I guess? I know it's hard to judge when you live in Mexico and your sole source is TV but your statement is as laughable as for instance me claiming all Mexicans speak like Speedy Gonzales.

I was obviously trying to point how Lalas was wrong on the individual talent discrepancy issue.

It could be because he is German and so he thinks and translates the words in his mind from German before saying them in English so they don't come out wrong.

LOOL normally they coordinate the post game show between the analyzers that it does not look good or bad one way or anther, but the way they were disagreeing with each other was funny. i do not think there was any rehearsal of the post match show, this was raw show

Have you noticed also, Lalas made gay-sounding overtures to Ballack on a couple of occasions?
