^ KC jaan, I think you need to take into account one thing, and that is peoples' personal freedoms. Everyone should be provided full information (pros and cons) on the issues surrounding inter-racial marriages, and be able to decide what works best for them. In effect this can be a means for countries enhancing their citizens' prosperity by admitting the best "candidates" into their societies. One thing I noticed about the Brazilians, they all have great natural teeth. It points to the fact that somewhere way up the line, their ancestors must have been selected from among the natives and immigrants who had such genes to pass them on. Or think about the Japanese becoming taller by marrying off caucasians on a consistent basis. There are other examples too.

as an iranian saying this is ridiculous. we are the most mixed up race on this earth.Originally posted by KC McElroy View PostSo the races can remain pure.
You don't have to be a genius to figure out why.IRI's politics is no different than handling a pressure cooker ..... As the pressure builds up, you slowly let the steam out just a tad bit so that you don't see overflow, and once the pressure from below is less, you put the lid down again and raise the temperature.

I'm not saying it should be illegal to change nationalities, however, if you are representing a country you should have your roots in it with a bloodline that can be traced back to show it. It's ridiculous for example for someone who is dark skinned and speaks with a thick Indian accent to represent the US national team when he is clearly from India.Originally posted by Paradigm View Post^ KC jaan, I think you need to take into account one thing, and that is peoples' personal freedoms. I was about to make a longish post trying my best to clear your doubts and widen your horizont, untill I read this.Originally posted by KC McElroy View PostAs long as they have a bloodline I'm ok with it. I would be ok with Khedira playing for either Tunisia or Germany. Although I have a problem with his parents as this opens a different can of worms of me frowning upon marriages between people of different nationalities.
Man, look at yourself. You are a damn fascist!
What you say is absolute bs. You are proven wrong by common sense, humanity and especially science.
And thats all the effort I'm going to put in a fascist thread.

Thank you for your input. What you have highlighted above wasn't a scientific fact for science to be able to prove it wrong as you claim but rather just my opinion on the non-scientific topic.Originally posted by maniei View PostI was about to make a longish post trying my best to clear your doubts and widen your horizont, untill I read this.

Let's pray together that someday TM fields 11 naturalized Japanese players who have lived in Iran for a long time.

ITT: we find out KC is racist
...but I do see where he is coming from. These teams are no longer dominated by their native peoples. As with the global community, immigration is showing itself in national teams. However, you cannot doubt these players' allegiances. If they cared about their ancestral country more than their home country, they would've played for them.
If you feel so strongly about this, why don't you move back to Iran?

Not necessarilly. Many of them just want a chance to take part in a competition on a global scale. If you see my previous posts you will see during my teen years while in Iran I fell into that same boat, although not because I had moved to the US, but because by being born there I was already eligible for their national team as far as FIFA's rules were concerned. I had zero feelings for or connections to the US but just wanted to use it as a chance to play in the 1994 World Cup which they were already qualified for as host.Originally posted by Abbas85 View PostITT: we find out KC is racist

Also, if your question is directed at me, I have no problem with moving somewhere new. I have a problem with people passing themselves off as a representative of somewhere that they have no historical connection to.I went to Sharif University. Per existing FIFA rules I should have had the right to do so. What I am saying is while it's legal, national team coaches should overlook these kinds of players as I don't think FIFA can pass a rule to fully cover this issue without being accused of discrimination or interfering in a country's naturalization process.Originally posted by Shamim View PostKC you wanted to play for the US Football team, so according to your logic you should not had the right to play for the US football since you are iranian,
Another option would be for players to turn down these opportunities although that is the least likliest as most players are glory hunters who will jump at the chance of international exposure even if it means betraying their roots.I went to Sharif University. completely agreed. i was born and raised in the US, and ive only been to iran once in my life and i consider myself very much to be iranian more than anything.Originally posted by KC McElroy View PostSo I don't really think where you live or grow up in well have the final say in what you consider your identity.
everyone bases it differently when they want to define who they are. i beleive its how you are brought up......if your brought up with certain customs, values, etc. and that is the main reason i consider myself as much iranian as americanTeam Meli Iran
