I haven't seen any scorecards but from what I've heard, he hasn't been doing too well in the SEL. He's been having trouble scoring just like he was in that 9-game stint in the NHL. He'll pick it up, though, I'm sure. He's one of the best prospects in the league.

Yes, that is correct. He was in Ottawa for a 9-day stint, but the GM ultimately decided to send him back to Djurgarden to finish out the Swedish league season there. They're probably going to recall him next season when he gets more confidence with the puck on his stick.Originally posted by Saam View PostI thought Ottawa already released him back to his old team

Actually, there were several (I think 5 others) before him (all of which were mixed, just like Mika). However he's projected to be a star in the league, so he might be the first [half] Iranian player to actually make a name for himself.Originally posted by oldcoach View PostWow, impressive.
If i am not mistaking he is the first Iranian in the NHL, right?
That is wonderful.

This guy has made my #2 favorite team in the NHL the Ottawa Senators. Can't wait till he makes the team permanently so I can buy that Alt. OTT Heritage jersey with his name on it.
I thought it was funny how is dad is this short Iranian dude and his mom is a tall blonde woman.
Edit: Embedding doesn't work apparently, so here's the link to the vid.
