Xavi is 31 and won't last that long anymore. Same for Villa who is around the 30. Iniesta is still only 27 and will have a couple of good years infront of him but after that it's finished. Puyol is already 32-33 or so. The only luck you have is that Messi is still only 24 and probably will stay at Barca for a long time.

But just like Real, who had players like Zidane, Ronaldo, Raul, Roberto Carlos etc. it will all end soon. So have fun while it lasts and Go ManU
Well it usually is true for most teams specially those who are used to buying and assembling teams out of stars, but here's when the most important factor, the real beauty of Barca comes to light. The youth development and culture of the club is almost unmatched and what sets it apart from many other clubs. They keep developing home made stars that are drafted into first team action in time and gradually fill the gap. Ofcourse some of Barca players are exceptional like Xavi or Messi, but Barca can virtually replace anyone in their squad with a rather similar talent.

    Keep dreaming mate
These players will get in the lineup and destroy Madrid again: Thiago, Fontas, Dos Santos, Soriano...they got the potential to be even better than Xavi,Puyol,Villa.

Apart from being a Barca fan, the thing that made me happy even more than Barca winning (which ofcourse was a given anyways) was that Mourinho's dirtiness backfired and was answered with somewhat of an own medicine! Mourinho has built his coaching career on, off the pitch psychological warfare and ignorance combined with anti football and dirty gameplay on the pitch. He has done this everywhere he's been. In Porto he didn't have a star studded side so one may understand this approach, but repeating the same patterns with multimillion dollar squads like those of Chelsea and Inter made me lose all respect for the guy and while Inter has always been my favorite italian team, I didn't like them at all under him.
He faced Barcelona with both Chelsea and Inter and lost to Barca when both teams played football. He only managed to win through dirty, overly rough on the verge of physical brutality, gameplay.
Just as he crafted this brutal, rough anti football as the extra spice to his ultra defensive, counter attack style tactics against Barca, the supposed acting of Barca players is the naturally developed antidote and extra spice added to their flowing gameplay to counter the constant dirty battering they would receive from teams coached by Mourinho.
I mean if you try to play football while the other team is executing martial arts, literally assaulting you physically every time you meet, you'd finally get fed up with it so you'd either have to get as abusive physically or try to emphasize and show everyone what they are doing!

I've got to say Barcelona dived alot less in this game and didn't surround the referee as much as in the 1st game.

However Higuain's goal should of counted and if anything Madrid should of got the freekick and not Mascherano who dived as soon as he saw he wouldn't get the ball.

But in the defense of Barcelona, I think with another referee Carvalho could have been sent off atleast 2 times in the same game lol. He made like 5 yellow card tackles.

Mourinho has a right to be pissed at the Barcelona players and the referee from the 1st leg but he should also be pissed at himself for not trying to attack more at home.

If only the 1st match could have been like the 2nd, Madrid parked the bus and played rough and Barcelona surrounded the referee at every opportunity and put on an acting performance worthy of an oscar in the 1st match.
