Not a World Cup question but who are the first (and as far as I know only) father and son to play in the same national team game for their country?

I do remember a long time ago (like 15-20 years) there were a father and a son from some Scandinavian country (Finland I believe) that played in the same match. I think the son was subbed in for his father however, so I'm not sure whether that counts since they did not actually play at the same time.

You're thinking of the right people. It's not really a Scandinavian country although it's close by and I specifically wrote "play in the same national team game" as opposed to "play together" because of the reason that you pointed out.

The answer's correct. In addition to the years mentioned above Carlos Alberto also played there in 1977 and 1978 while Beckenbauer played there in 1977-1980 thus they played two years together.
