The problem I have with the EPL is that it's only about the top 4....When was the last time one other than the big 4 did anything in CL? If one claims a league is the best league in europe and basis their claims on how well EPL teams do in the CL, they must also realize that quality of a "league" should be based on the league as a whole and not only 4 four. EPL has the least amount of diversity as far as quality, compare to other major nations in europe.
Spain, Germany, Italy, etc, all get a team or two (other than their major powers) to make their voice in Europe once in a while, or at least win their domestic league, but EPL consistently has the big 4 to show and that's it! There is a big big gap b/w the top 4 and the rest and that has been the case for years.

The EPL owns every other league right now by miles. I love the Serie A and La Liga more, but you can't deny that any team in the EPL can beat each other at any time. Go look at the EPL table and tell me Everton never beat Chelsea + Man Utd this season, etc... You just don't get the entertainment / quality value in the EPL anywhere else.

Mourinho is the reason Inter got this far, and he himself is going back to the EPL soon, he clearly has very bad relations with the Serie A and the Italian media.

I think the last time an EPL team made Uefa cup final was 2006 - Middlesbrough who are now in championship. they got raped by Sevilla in the finals though.

City made the QF last year, and this year EPL has Liverpool and Fulham, and tomorrow we will see if EPL teams can progress more into the final stages of EL.
