Remember when I said Phil gotta make Kobe rest if he doesnt want it? Kobe is injured and all he is doing is making him team suffer for it because of his ego. The Bobcats game could have been easily lost.

I take back what I said in the previous post. I didnt watch the game but I just watched the highlights and it turns out he injured his ankle when odom landed on it and still played 30 minutes. Also, I think its phil to blame here:

...Jackson played Bryant for the first 3:10 of the fourth quarter before taking him out because of how Bryant's ankle was limiting his play. The Lakers were able to build an eight-point lead with Bryant on the bench, but Jackson subbed him back in when their cushion dwindled to four with 2:55 remaining.

"I really didn't want to have to bring him back but when they closed the gap there in the last two minutes, I think I had to," Jackson said.....

his greatest asset is also his liability. Just like ali daei, his competitive nature doesn't allow him to sit or back down. He thinks he can score 44 points every night. I have 100% confidence that he TRULY believes that which is why he is playing. But phil gotta take a stand. Even as a rookie, I can't remember Kobe having two very very different games one right after other. Its not him. Hope he sits after the allstar break cuz the truth is:

IF KOBE IS 100%, IT WON'T MAKE DIFF IF THE LAKERS ARE TOP SEED OR 8TH SEED.

14-37 and 4-21? Now that Kobe dont understand that he is wasting shots who others could easily score maybe someone should nudge Phil in the ribs and make him rest Kobe instead of aggravating his injury and messing up the team's chances of scoring.

if you watch the games you could see that he is not wasting others shots. With Gasol out there is no other consistent scorer so he has to take it upon himself. The only reason others get what they get is because of how the opponents defense is concentrated around him that it leaves other open.

But Sometimes when you are too great unfortunately there is a downside and that is that you always think you can do it even when you can't ( i.e. ali daei)

Kobe had the worse game of career tonight and for the 3rd game in a row he is showing he is not as great as usual with that broken finger. He should seriously considering taking some time off or the lakers will have huge problems in the playoffs
