You make a player, determine his role, adjust its height and weight and style according to his post, then start doin some drills to improve, then you join a summercamp if you do good you get invited to train with an NBA team, you do good they draft you and sign you, you start playing as a reserve you should prove yourself so eventually you get more pt and stuff, its much more fun than playing the Association thing endlessly, gives you much more sense of achievement.

ooh niiice.. ya u can like name him yourself and make him look like u but the rest of the stuff that u said sounds pretty chill.. i have played nba 2k9 and then i played nba live 09 and the only good thing about nba live was the graphics and kinda sucks u in sadly lol but i wasn't really thaat much impressed. but nba 2k9 blew me away wit players moves being so realistic

The PC version lets you upload a pic of your pretty face and have it look like you btw. Another sweet thing about the my player shit is that when you progress shot style packages get unlocked, still when you are making him there are some styles already available, e.g my PF shoots like Garnett fades away like Kobe, throws like LBJ :P

If he has been playing against NBA competition for nearly 4 weeks now, I can assure you that any one familiar with knowledge of the human anatomy will agree that whatever injury he had in the past is sufficiently healed at this point to allow him to play and avoid risking further damage. There is only one supposed issue here: his lack of conditioning and timing since he was out for so long.
4 weeks has been plenty of time for him to round back into shape. I agree he's a great player who will be in the top echelon of PG's in the league, but right now he is not showing it. It's time for him to put the excuses behind and start playing up to expectations. It's common knowledge that 80% + of NBA players are all playing with some sort of injury.

Derrick Rose finished with 20 points, but was held to only four in the first half. He finished 9 of 20 from the field as he continues to struggle early in his second season. The reigning rookie of the year, who was limited in the preseason because of a strained tendon behind his right ankle, averaged 12.7 points on 39.5 percent shooting in his previous three games.

"He's frustrated because he's a competitive kid," coach Vinny Del Negro told the NBA's official Web site. "He's not physically 100 percent, not in the condition he was (last season) just because of the injury. You just have to take a step back, give him some time."

watched orlando visit today. carter got booed the **** out. but not as much as when new jersey came. in first quarter he got raped though. every time he got booed he tried to shut the crowd up but he failed miserably. he only had 4 points in first quarter. but in 3rd and 4rth he did ok. it was an even game until orlando killed it with a 10-0 run early in the 4rth.

This is why Anthony Randolph is my favorite player in the league (besides the fact that he has an unbelievable skill set for a 20 year old 7 footer). The guy doesn't give a sh*t who you are, he'll tell you what's on his mind:

Randolph dove into the crowd for a loose ball, immediately thereafter when he was lining up for the out of bounds play Gasol put his hand on him. Randolph slapped his hand away, presumably because the Lakers had been grabbing all night (they do a lot of holding, Fisher in particular) and said "get the **** off me." The two exchanged words, Kobe came up to Randolph, Randolph told him to back the **** up. Kobe kept trying to get his word in, but Randolph kept cutting him off telling him to back up. Finally, he said, "Just back up, it's that simple", which he had to keep repeating before Kobe did. It was just pure competitiveness and a refusal to go quietly into the night. If you're gonna go down, it can be pretty frustrating to see teammates laying down around you, sometimes you want to inject some life into the room. Randolph was immediately pulled out of the game before the ball could be inbounded.
