In case you didnt know, the rockets were a 3rd seed the day before the season ended. The Jazz would have at least won 5-7 more games if boozer had played the entire season (thus 3rd seed) so its safe to say the lakers have played against 2 teams that were a lot better than their true seeding. On the other hand the cavs played 2 of the weakest teams in the NBA playoffs. Now I am not saying the lakers are better than the cavs but what I AM saying is that we cant judge wo is better by their playoff record.

The lakers might not win the championship but the 7 game seris and everything that happened in it did nothing but help the lakers for the long run. They jelled much better bynum got the playing time he needed and the younger guys got battle tested.

My prediction:

I just think the nuggets have a little few too many thugs on their team to take out the lakers, def not mature enough (a player like j.r. smith that will either make or break you, k-mart) surely chauncey has helped their team out alot (as far as countering out this "thuggets" thuggie-ness), but still in my opinion not enough. i wouldn't be surprised if the lakers swept them, but we'll just have to see about that.

Lakers can lose in the staples center, if the Rockets can beat them in there, what makes you think Denver can't either way, Denver will take that series in 6 or 7.
