No man Tebow is not entering the NFL draft he is returning for his senior season at Florida, and as much as it pains me it looks like the Gators will play for another national championship game becaue there schedule is a joke outside of one game @ LSU. I don't know if his style of football will work in the NFL. Urban Meyer runs a gimmick offense which is not used at all in the NFL Tim Tebow could very well = Alex Smith. Remember when Utah ran the same offense under Urban and everyone was raving over Alex Smith? I personally think that Colt McCoy QB Texas and Sam Bradford Qb Oklahoma would make better NFL quarterbacks. McCoy is more athletic and Bradford is more of an NFL style QB. As for this year I have a feeling Sanchez will be the most "nfl ready" out of Matthew Stafford, and Josh Freedman QB Kansas St. All of them should be drafted in the first round but Sanchez played in a pro style west coast offense. In a west coast offense the quarterback is under the center not in shotgun formation and what people don't know is that you run the football as much as you pass. If Sanchez goes to an NFL team that runs this style of offense like say the 49ers or Denver he will be successful. Most teams these days run some variation of the west coast offense. As for Josh Freedman he has the rocket arm but his stats and record at KSU were marginal. The red flag was his 1 to 1 TD to INT ratio I would not draft a guy like that.Originally posted by teammelli34 View PostI wanna see Tebow in it, is he entering? or is he staying.
Oh and gentlemen breaking news the Detroit Lions today signed Matthew Stafford QB Georgia for $78,000,000 $41,000,000 guaranteed! Wow talk about rolling the dice on that one.
I'm more interested in seeing who the Raiders will pick and well we need a wide receiver, so I'm hoping for Jeremy Maclin WR Mizzou who has Al Davis written all over him with his 4.3 speed. Michael Crabtree is a douschebag and Texas Tech's coach Mike Leach passes the ball 99% of the time, so I am weary of any WR or QB who comes out of Texas Techbecause there stats are inflated. He talks in 3rd person ie "Michael Crabtree is going to do (fill in the blank)" and the Cleveland Browns already basically said they won't draft him because he's an ego maniac. Michael Crabtree = Charles Rodgers BUST.
I am getting excited guys tomorrow is the big day.

The good news is that Stafford has $41,000,000 guaranteed but the bad news is he's playin for the Lie Downs. I don't care if you put Tom Brady on that team they have the WORST O line in the NFL even worse than my Raiders. Before he gets to his 3 step drop he's going to get creamed by some DE or LB.Originally posted by tashakor View Post$41 million dollar guarantee for Stafford. New NFL record.

At least we don't waste our #7 pick on a mediocre Maryland player while a player like Crabtree's stature is still on the table!Originally posted by Persiantiger View PostThe good news is that Stafford has $41,000,000 guaranteed but the bad news is he's playin for the Lie Downs. Oh man that was a bit time kick in the nuts.Originally posted by MoJo23 View PostAt least we don't waste our #7 pick on a mediocre Maryland player while a player like Crabtree's stature is still on the table!
I could understand if the Raiders wanted to go with a speed WR but for the love of God why not pick Jeremy Maclin WR out of Mizzou? Darius Heywood Bey could either end up being a bust a la Troy Williamson when Minnesota picked him, or with his 4.25 40 speed he could be a big hit. I didn't like the Raiders draft picks at all this sucks.
The biggest winner of the night was Green Bay picking BJ Raji and Brian Cushing wow talk about beefing up your defense you get a DE and a LB awesome. Oh well hopefully Heywood Bey would develope and learn something from our WR coach Fred Belitnikof(SP). If he can learn how to catch the ball we might have something.
Dam you Al Davis to hell!
About Crabtree he seems like a selfish it's all about me kind of a player. If you listen to his interviews he talks in 3rd person "Michael Crabtree is going to do this Michael Crabtree will do that," Also I am weary of any WR or QB who comes out of Texas Tech because Mike Leach passes the ball 99% of the time. Against better competition like OU he struggled and we just got rid of Randy Moss and Porter because we want quality character guys. I will say this though at #10 for the 49ers that was a good pick.
By the way I was thinking about you when Michigan State beat Michigan in your own home 35-21 GO GREEN!

I don't know anythying about this guy since he played for Ohio University but hopefully you are right and we got a steal on this pick. I'm sure he's one of those guys who would of been a first rounder if he played for say Ohio State rather than Ohio U. Sometimes those dudes end up paying out big and we need help on our defense do I actually like that pick.Originally posted by ommy48 View Posthe actually is an under the radar player who could end up being a steal..the bears were going to pick him with their pick #49 but the raiders got him first at #47...and the bears are pretty good at evaluating defensive talent....

heyward bey is a pure track athelete. he didn't really get the simple MD playbook imagine what it will be like in the NFL. Just look at his stats for the yr at UMD. 1 month he didnt catch anything! another dumb bone move by the raiders. they should have taken crabtree
