Consistent progress, and not flash-in-the-pan success, is what makes a truly good team.

The only Arab country apart from Saudi Arabia making any real progress is Qatar, and they are doing it by basically importing players from South America and Africa, making them play 2 years in Q-League and give them Qatari citizenship.

Arab teams from the Persian Gulf region dont have enough of a local talent pool to sustain themselves, so now they have and will resort to foreigners. Asian football has become more and more competitive, and thanks to Japan the tide seems to have permanently shift from the Mid East to them.

1- Saudi.... Asian Champions 3 times & lost in the final in another 3 (not in the 60's like us), Qualified to the World cup 4 times and made the 2nd round in 94 & there clubs won more asian cups than any other ****ry. (they are arab arent they?)
2- I remember watching Qatar beat Pakistan 7-0 (is that shit?).
3- who knocked us out of WC2002? Bahrain? (Arab).
4- I can write a long list about Gulf teams but i'll go to my next point...
5- What has USA ever done? beside of getting theire asses kicked like a bizzatch by Teammelli in 98? beating tahiti & guatimala??!!
Hey Hey hey dont compare us with the sheikhs

My point was Arabs are not world beaters. Far from it.

The Shiekhs and their deliberate pestering in national team and club affairs have wrecked the potential such countries have had for actually making a name for themselves outside the usual Middle East and Asian region.

They have money, they have resources, but they ALWAYS waste them. The chopping and changing of managers, restricting their players from playing in better more competitive and physical European leagues to mere loan deals, interference in team selections, and too much royal egos to handle.

That is why the national teams of the GCC Arab countries are pure cannon-fodder for even such dud European teams like Belgium, Ukraine, and now Australia for that matter. Germany in 2002 was not fancied enough to reach the final, but they managed to with some good luck and Oli Kahn in goal, but the way they beat Saudi 8-0 was like a playground game.

Man City is doomed if the same thing is repeated on them, they will be a super rich inconsistent unstable and downright spoiling dud in English football. They may win 2-3 trophies, but they will NOT be a consistent threat. Players will come and go, team chemistry will be of plain egos, managers will be fired like water tossed into a burning fire....

p.s. USA reached the quarter finals of WC 2002 didnt they ? Iran has yet to go beyond the Group stage

    So as I was saying

Manchester City should purchase Yasuhito Endo

He led Gamba Osaka to the Asian Championships.

Its a privilege playing and winning the FA Cup. This competition, the prestige, and honour is a part of football's history.
But it's more of an honour playing in the CL and being the defending champions
