off topic: I think for weightlifting they should give separate medals one for "Snatch" and one for "Clean & Jerk"...this way ppl like rezazadeh could have gotten 2 gold medals....just like swimming, where you have 50m, 100m, 200m etc....

technically this isnt true and most people especially younger people dont know this. In 1988 seoul games, I remember that Iran won a bronze medal in a martial arts sport (taekwondo or judo, ) but that sport wasnt an official olympic sport yet so whoever won medal that year in that sport, didnt contribute to their country's medal standings.
