I dont see the logic behind opening and discussing a thread in persian football for a guy who has made it abundantly clear that he couldnt give a rats asss about any of us, TM fans. when it comes to issue of playing for Iran, he has shown absolute apathy, and classless negative response...! even after he was dumped out of Swedes Euro squad, he still made it clear that Only Sweeden is the future for him...!! i dont mind someone turning down the prospect of playing in TM, but i expect him to at least (even lie if he has to) decline respectfully, saying that he is honored but has other plans or whatever..!! not flat out say in your face that the thought hasnt even cross his mind and practically implying that we must be crazy for even thinking he may have such ambitions...!!
Dejaga and others at least made a semi legit attempt to decline somewhat diplomatically ..!!
still i wish the guy best of luck in his football ambitions..!! but i dont feel like reading about him on this forum, perhaps this should be moved to international forum..??

Now that Behrang Safari has played a official game with Swedish National team we can forget him for good. But I was impressed by him and he did his job. He was a little bit nervous the first 10 minutes but he played well after all. The game between sweden and portugal ended 0-0 in stockholm but sweden had many chances to score but couldn't deliver.

Off topic....Listen do you remember after WC 2006 when Zandi wasn't picked by IFF after his poor performance. IFF screwed him and didn't invite him for a long time before the asian cup 2007. Do you get it?

But if the coach feels he isn't doing great...he shouldn't be invited…..right?...surely the coach cannot give him a place in a 23 man team and hope he may perform and get back into his prime during training...its too much of a risk...national teams pick players that are doing well...they can't test player abilities...clubs performances does that….I believe he wasn’t even in a club during his absence…even if he was he wasn’t given playing time.

what was this bad treatment you are talking about? did IFF fined him every week? did they threaten his family? did they went to cyprus and beat him up?
