For comparison, in the 2020 edition of the Paralympics we finished 13th with 12 Gold, 11 silver, 1 bronze (24 total medals)

Less gold medals this year but nearly the same ranking and total medal count

Afarin to all our Paralympians. Dame hamatoon garm

Lifts 263 and wins the Gold by significant margin

We finish with 8 gold, 10 silver, 7 bronze. Should’ve been 9 gold but regardless of 8 or 9, we 14th in the medal table

unless some other nation right below us win another gold within the next few hours, we will finish 14th

Iran jumps to # 14 (for those wondering, we would still be # 14 even if we had not lost that other gold to disqualification)

Amirzadeh wins Gold with his first two lifts, but benches 263kg (579.8 lbs) on his third attempt as icing on the cake!

    What a champ!

Amirzadeh bench presses 258kg (568.8 lbs) on his second attempt!!!

The commentators are astonished by his composure, power, and the fact that he has never been to a Para Game in the past.

The Gold is all but guaranteed!

    Let's go!

Iran’s power lifter Amirzadeh bench presses 253kg (557.7 lbs) like a BOSS and is in the lead after the first rounds. 10 kg above the next best

I rewatched the replay of the event. I did not see any yellows on him or sar boridan. he did have 2 fouls for stepping over the line and he did bring out ya zahra flag for a second
