"Air Amini" - future NBA player?

Iran seems to have a new big prospect, Mohammad Amini (17 years old/2,01m) currently playing at As Monaco academy.

Aim to play Euroleague and enter NBA in 2025.

Great. We need more Iranian players in the NBA, esp. since it's a league that is dominated by international players like Luka, Giannis, Embiid, Jokic etc.
"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

Thanks for sharing. Hopefully the French don't sweep him up like they did to Embiid and Co.

The best player in the world in 3 years (if he stays healthy) will be French - Victor Wembanyama.

          They have enough talent.

27 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists on a super efficient 11/15 FGs to help lead Monaco u21 over Paris u21

14 pts, 4 rebounds, 6 assists in a close loss today. Not efficient shooting overall but a very solid overall performance

This is a HUGE weekend for Amini who will be participating at the Basketball Without Borders camp during NBA All Star weekend

This is a major opportunity for him to put himself on the radar of nba scouts. Practically every single nba team has scouts who attend this camp (my Toronto Raptors have their President Masai Ujiri as one of the two main Directors of the camp so I know he’ll be there watching)

There are also some pretty big names who have NBA prospective outlooks who will be part of this camp such as UNC commit Elliott Cadeau and UCLA/Gonzaga target Ilane Fiblieul

A standout performance this weekend could get Amini lots of nba scouts attention as well as college programs who are looking for international kids to recruit

Hopefully Mohammad Amini gets into the Senior team Melli for this World Cup.

We realistically don’t stand a chance against the big european and American teams with the veteran players so we might as well put some focus on using this big stage to develop our younger talents and give them opportunities to prove themselves (and hopefully get the attention of scouts)

Amini is already on the nba radar now so I’m sure if scouts are watching our games, they will likely be mostly focused on him. He might be able to make some noise and start getting projected into the 2024 draft or at least the 2025 draft. He’s having a very strong showing in his first year with Monaco u21 team (as a 17 year old).

I wouldn’t be surprised if he finishes out this season strong (especially now that he just went through a great development camp with BWB at Nba all star weekend) and maybe gets an opportunity in the World Cup. he will probably be called up to the senior Monaco side at some point to play euroleague at 18 years of age and put himself on the map as a good young international talent in the draft class

Wow, He got invited to play for the Next Generation Zadar Team for the huge Next Generation tournament (sponsored by adidas) this upcoming weekend.

this is basically the Youth Champions League of Europe. The team he got selected to play with is essentially just a collection of the top u18 talents in Europe who play for clubs that aren’t currently qualified for the tournament.

He will face the u18 Barcelona squad on Saturday

here he is already listed in the roster on the euroleague website

Nice and promising development about him.
Do we have other promising prospects, even half as promising as him?

We won't go too far if we have a superstar surrounded by the same mediocre players
