If Holland beats Romania 3:0 and Italy and France draw 0:0 than they will pick Italy as second team. Italy will qualify for next round because of FIFA Ranking Koeffizent, which means, highest FIFA RANKED Team will qualify.....

Bullshit in my eyes, because they should NORMALLY ALLOW THE LOWEST RANKED TEAM TO QUALIFY - because reached the same as the highest ranked team...

but i do not think this will happen...

Netherlands - if clever will play his second team, lose the match vs. romania and avoid France and Italy in the semifinal.....but we like FAIR PLAY - Hope it will be fair play...

I posted before and no one bothered to read the actual rules and came up with their own theories like pick teams out of a hat lol.

here are the official rules:

POINT SYSTEM :
Three points for a win, one point for a draw, and no points for defeat.

TIE-BREAKER RULES :
If two or more teams finish equal on points after all the group matches have been played, the following criteria will be applied to determine the ranking :


(a) Greater number of points obtained in the matches between the teams in question.
(b) Goal difference resulting from the matches between the teams in question (if more than two teams finish equal).
(c) Greater number of goals scored in the matches between the teams in question (if more than two teams finish equal).
(d) Goal difference in all the group matches.
(e) Greater number of goals scored in all the group matches.
(f) Coefficient of points from the last two qualifying competitions for the final rounds of the 2006 World Cup and Euro 2008 (points gained and divided by the number of matches played).
(g) Fair Play conduct of the teams (final tournament).
(h) A drawing of lots by the Organising Committee.

If what you said will happens, France will go through. Because head to head is what it goes to first, that does not sort it out, after goal difference, it goes to who scores the most goals. All the three teams at the bottom have equal goal difference, but its then decided by number of goals for (this rule exists in all major leagues across Europe, bundesliga, premiership, seria A etc). For example, two teams have equal goal diference, one score 5 and conceded 2, but one scored 6 and conceeded 3, the one who scored 6 would win because they had more goals for.

omg, i just realised that because of this rule, you must take into acount the amount of goals scored for when they draw, so italy also make up for the one goal france scored against holand with the goal italy scored against romania. I'm not sure what will happen tho if goal difference AND goals for is the same.

The GD of Romania right now is 1-1, France 1-4 and Italy 1-4.

If Romania loses 3-0 and France and Italy will draw 0-0 I think they will pick the second placed team by taking a look at the rankings (not sure).

However what I am sure of is that IF Romania loses by 3-0 and France and Italy draw 1-1 then a PK shoot-out will decide the second placed team (France or Italy as they have scored one more goal than Romania).

First of all your italy scoring 2 goals sooti dadi. Maybe you scored their second goal who knows?

secondly, the first thing they look at is the GD and after GD is the goal scored.
