Ronaldo's a big game bottler. Messi and Kaka have proved in the past two seasons that there is a huge gulf of talent between them and Ronaldo.
This gap is bridged by the SkySports/BBC propaganda to inflate him into something he's not and sell him as the Premiership crown jewel (and hence sell their own product). Buy Sky Sports and you can watch the world's greatest player. My ass.
He's not the best player in the world. Not close. In fact Scholes in his prime was a far better football player.

Really? I don't remember any great passes from Ronaldo. I remember one good cross and quite a few turnovers. How was he being played out of position? He was perhaps more central than he normally plays and had opportunity to roam to the left (where he seemed to get tackled by Zambrotta a lot). Perhaps he had less freedom to rotate flanks?Originally posted by Mr Pouya View Postwtf man, wat do u expect, the guy is plaing out of postion and with bloody barca having so much of the ball, wat do u want him 2 do, when he got the ball he made some great passes
On the contrary I think Messi was outstanding in spite of his team-mates inability to make something out of the chances he created for them. Messi despite very close attention turned United's defenders inside out (and should have had a penalty when I think it was Carrick handled the ball when trying to tackle him on the ground).

^^^ reffering to zeresh-ali I gotta say I still think Ronaldinho is still the best player in the world, even if he is in a "slump", I bet more than half of the pro footballers wished they could play as well as him in this "slump" he is in. Kaka and Messi are also great, Ronaldo is behind them all by quite some distance. You are totally right about how they sell him because he is in the EPL.
