They played in June of 2000, but yeah the two teams should meet more often. I know myself and futbol>>>IRAN among others have said several times that Egypt, Turkey, and Iran should all be playing each other, and just cooperating more together in general. I believe Iran's junior team was supposed to come down to UAE (or was it Qatar?) for a youth tournament that Egypt was in too, but I believe you guys canceled. Egypt beat Belarus in the final.

In that case I have an authentic Iran jersey from WC98. Egypt once again wins the African cup of nations way to go boys. Now for the love of God CAN YOU QUALIFY FOR THE WORLD CUP? They always do great in these tournaments and choke in the WCQ. I mentioned this earlier in another post.

Choke? That's quite harsh bro. Egypt's qualifying group included Ivory Coast and Cameroon (arguably the three best teams in all of Africa) and only one team gets in. Meanwhile other groups weren't even in the same league in terms of difficulty.

Way wrong on that one bro . Every African team brings the best squad they can to the Nations Cup, naturally. It's the most important tournament we have. Every big African name you can think of is there every time. Their respective nations would castrate them if they skipped out. Just look at how Eto'o, Drogba, and co. cry when their team is eliminated and you'll know how much it means.

As for World Cup 2002... Egypt was again in Africa's Group of Death, with Senegal, Morocco, and Algeria (again, only one team qualifies). As you know, Senegal was the team that qualified (though Egypt beat them in the qualifiers) and went on to have a great World Cup.

lol random? If it was our first time winning it, OK... but 6 titles, the most in the continent and a dominating performance from start to finish is not random. If Egypt was not among someone's favorites going in, they've obviously never followed Egyptian or African football. And the last two teams to win the Cup outside of their own region was Egypt in 1998 (Burkina Faso) and now Egypt in Ghana. And our football style, tradition, and achievements are night and day different than Greece. But yeah thanks anyway
