One shot hit the post, one header was somehow saved by Carroll, another shot saved by Carroll seconds later, then one good freekick kept out, then another barely missing the target...before he eventually scored from a nice Rooney cross after John O'Shea created a good move. Then in last minutes, he was put through but Carroll saved again !!!
