i agree. From the Big-10 Only OSU belongs to the top 10 and realistically the bottom half of the top 10.----1990 TM, You will always have a special place in our hearts

The sad thing for the Big 10 is that Ohio State is unproven, so the verdict is still out on them. Beat a team in the top 10 and then I'll form a judgement on the Buckeyes. They still are without Ted Ginn Jr and Troy Smith which are two huge losses from last year, along with Antonio Gonzalez(their excellent tight end). That is three of their offensive playmakers from last year GONE.Originally posted by persianbruin View Posti agree. The Big 10 is stuck in the stoneages. Their style of football was good for like the 50's, or the 60', 70's, 80's and even in the 90's. The three yards and a cloud of dust offense is long gone. This is not Woody Hayes vs Bo Shembekler anymore. The Big 10 better get with the program and just change their identity of a conference as a whole.

Now the beauty of the bowl games is that it can totally restore pride back to a conference. If the big 10 goes on a tear this year in their bowl games, all of the regular season disappointments will disappear. I don't hink we will see Ohio State in a true test until their bowl game as you mentioned. I hardly consider Wisconsin and Michigan tough opposition. I'm not trying to dis on Shahouman's buckeyes here but I'm sure you agree with me that the Big 10 is not as golden as it was once upon a time.Originally posted by persianbruin View Postand this is why just like last year we won't know what OSU is made of until their bowl game. ive been the first to say the big 10 is wack and i''ll stand by that comment lol, it's boring to watch right now, but i dunno if ucan say this style of ball doesnt work, reason i say that is that's wut they've been doin for so long now and look at the past at the threat to the national scene big 10schools hav made
now it's true, we havent really been tested, but we really showed our colors at washington, we did wut USC couldnt do and that's shut washington down on their own field, our tough games will be home against MSU and Wisc, and away at Penn St and Mich....the way things are looking, we could realistically go undefeated this season, but im not counting on it, from the beginning i've said we're bad this yr and i stand by that comment too lol
and btw that's antHONY gonzalez and he was another wide receiver, they did a stat during the game yesterday and said we've lost 80% of our TD production from last yr, but damn u cant deny our defense! fkn badass!

Well thank you for thinking so highly of MSU but even before the season started, I wrote this one as a loss. It is going to be a conservative ground and pound kind of game though, so if MSU get's some breaks they might be able to pull off the upset. Chances are though you guys win because it's @OSU.Originally posted by ShahHouman View Postive been the first to say the big 10 is wack and i''ll stand by that comment lol, it's boring to watch right now, but i dunno if ucan say this style of ball doesnt work, reason i say that is that's wut they've been doin for so long now and look at the past at the threat to the national scene big 10schools hav made

Sam don't worry man USC is still ranked #1 In the coaches poll. As long as you are #1 or #2 it's all good man because you will get your shot in the national championship.

Before the game started I would of been thrilled if MSU went 6-6 and play in the dreaded motor city bowl. Mark Dantonio turned things arround and I expect MSU to have three maximum four losses. They will probably lose close ones @ Ohio State and @ Purdue. I don't see them losing to Penn St and Michigan home but it might happen. I see MSU as going 8-4 or worst case 7-5, which would be a great improvement.Originally posted by ShahHouman View Postbefore the season i saw MSU as a blowout game but the way the coach has turned it around i see it as a tough one, but being at home and the way our D is playing, i think we got that one, but it wont be easy!!!
and nahhh, LSU gonna take down FL too
MSU leads the big 10 in sacks. I bring this up because last year we were ranked dead last in sacks on defense. Mark Dantonio really improved the defense which is really the strength of the team. They gave up a lot of yards against Wisconsin, but Wisconsin gave up an equal number of yards. We were also out muscled by Wisconsiin
Wisconsin's 0"line averages 6"5 270 while our O line averages 6"4 245. Next year our focus should be on recruiting a quarterback and some hogs on the o-line. Thier D-line is very good actually which was a weakness last year. Oviously we need to recruit a big bruizer running back because big Jehu Caulkrik is going to leave. MSU seems to do well with the thunder and lightening combo. For as longas I could remember they always had a bruizer running back from Sedrik Irvin, to TJ Duckett and now Jehu Caulkrik. Javon Ringer is more of a speed back adn is just as valuable.
We picked up a steal of a WR from Ann Arbor Junior College. This kid #5 named Tomphson is speedy as hell and knows how to get yards. he also does our kick returns and usually takes it at leat to like the 50. He is kind of a poor man's Ted Ginn jr.

You guys have the advantage since it's at home, but trust me man, it won't me easy.. mark my words on this, if Mike Hart is healthy we will win.Originally posted by Sherwin View PostI don't see them losing to Penn St and Michigan...
Btw, i don't know if i ever told you this but WR Devin Thomas in MSU went to my high school here in Michigan. I still talk to him every now and then.. good guy.

That's awesome Devin Thomas has skills man he is a crazy good wr. The thing is taht he is so versitle. Every time he gets the ball even on like a reverse the guy picks up at least 10 yards. It seems like every play he is involved in a long bomb. So do you attend University of Michigan or do you plan to transfer to Michigan?Originally posted by MoJo23 View PostYou guys have the advantage since it's at home, but trust me man, it won't me easy.. mark my words on this, if Mike Hart is healthy we will win.

I'm not saying this game is going to be easy trust me IT'S GOING TO BE A BATTLE. Michigan is not just oging to roll over and play dead we all know that. The key for Michigan in that game is going to be Mike Hart. If he can run for say 25 carries for 150 yards, I guarantee you Michigan will win. If he gets stuffed for like say 25 carries for 75 yards, it will be a win for MSU.
The other important factor is can the Wolverines stop MSU's potent running attack. They need to look for Jehu Caul***k(thunder) and Javon Ringer(lightening). There is also Mr. Thompson who is just awesome and finally gives us someone who we can go deep to. We haven't had a player like that since Charles Rodgers.
