The reason I dont blame reggie bush is that the fumble was in the first half so you never know what would have happened after that. The horns had a chance to come back during the entire second half. However, that Bing mistake was on a 4th down and not making that mistake would have meant the trojans would have taken over with less than a minute left. yeah I hated it too. Now no matter how my bruins spank them at rose bowl people are gonna be like, SO WHAT!!Originally posted by gobrowns1 View PostI can't believe how bad My ND got spanked.
That just shows how good Brady Quinn is that without him they get raped.
However, I was impressed by Jimmy Clausen, he played mature and stayed calm, I like him alot. He has the potential to be a great pocket passer.

I would never bet against the bruins but I GAURANTEE you that USC will win by AT LEAST 2 touchdowns!!Originally posted by gobrowns1 View Post^^^ I have you guys as my upset pick over USC.
B. Olson is a beast, I would be shocked if he goes anywhere later than the 3rd round in the draft.
The game is at the collesium. They are more talented and deeper. They are also very very upset by last year's upset loss which after the way the buckeyes lost, meant a SURE championship went out the window, when we beat the hell out of them! I take a 11-1 record with open arms for this year before the bowl game. However, after watchin cal last night, especially with the speed that guy forsett had, I am not so sure. Who would believe he was the 92nd RB recruited that year out of High school!!!----1990 TM, You will always have a special place in our hearts

I don't think anybody is beating USC this year they are just stacked with tallent, and it is scary how good they really are. Some people are saying that this is Pete Carrol's best USC team even better than the USC team that crushed Oklahoma in the NC game. You know what with all of those 5 star recruits I can see why they are saying that. USC last year just didn't take UCLA seriously. This year USC wants REVENGE against both UCLA and Oregon State. They are playing at the colesiuem which is almost impossible to win in that place. Don't be surprised if you see USC playing in the national championship despite their difficult schedule.Originally posted by persianbruin View PostI would never bet against the bruins but I GAURANTEE you that USC will win by AT LEAST 2 touchdowns!!

gobrowns1 your Irish will be fine this year is going to be rough, but Jimmy Claussen is going to go through some growing pains. You have some good four and five star 0-line recruits comming in for next year. As you know a good 0-line does wonders for the quarterback. This year is going to be rough for Notre Dame if they win 7 games you should be thrilled. Next year I expect ND to be a lot better so don't worry man.

I agree with you man I think also USC was just overconfident going into that game. They underestimated Vince Young and that Texas defense.Originally posted by persianbruin View PostThe reason I dont blame reggie bush is that the fumble was in the first half so you never know what would have happened after that. Yep and by the way Jackson just seriously helped his heisman chances with that brilliant return. That was just a thing of beauty and I'm glad Cal waxed Tennessee. Les Miles(HC of LSU) was running his mouth saying USC has an easy schedule because they play in the pac 10. Well this should shut those SEC idiots up.Originally posted by headcounciluta View Post

I might be wrong but this UM loss was really really bad for all big 10 teams for 2 reasons, well I am sure about the first reason but the 2nd, I might be wrong:
1) Strength of schedule of all big 10 teams is gonna slip in the BCS. Translations: you are not gonna be considered strong enough come bowl selection time. Yes even you OSU!!
2) We all know UM is not this bad. They ahve a wealth of talent and they have a HUGE chip on their shoulders. For EVERY SINGLE game left this season they are gonna be playing like their lives depends on it. Translation: If you are playing UM this season you better be ready for an all out war! They are embarassed and they will do anything in their power to prove the apple game was a fluke. I also think given the chance the coaches will run up the scores as high as they can so they can save their careers. We'll see!----1990 TM, You will always have a special place in our hearts

sorry bud but when bowl selection comes these guys are eventually after one thing, $$$$$, and OSU is one of, if not the best, traveling schools w/ its fans, so any bowlgame would die to hav usOriginally posted by persianbruin View PostI might be wrong but this UM loss was really really bad for all big 10 teams for 2 reasons, well I am sure about the first reason but the 2nd, I might be wrong:

I got to agree with Shahahouan jaan hey look at ND they don't even belong in a conference, but hey they constantly get invited to a BCS game because they can bring in $$$$$$$. That is what the BCS bowl games are all about my friend.Originally posted by ShahHouman View Postsorry bud but when bowl selection comes these guys are eventually after one thing, $$$$$, and OSU is one of, if not the best, traveling schools w/ its fans, so any bowlgame would die to hav us

You are right about $$$$$. This is why there is no playoff system. But there are a lot of other teams that fair better than OSU come bowl selection $$$$wise. ND is the only team really that gets a huge favor every year because they are head and shoulder above everyone else fan and tv ratings being considered.
No offense but this is the reality. Most Big 10 schools are located in cities and towns where there is pretty much nothing to do. You could say the same thing about the oregon schools in the pac 10. The bowl game is an excuse to go out with friends to a place where there is something to do. So as far as OSU is concerned, PSU, UM, MSU and wisc would provide the same $$$$ not to mention other conferences and their bubble power teams.----1990 TM, You will always have a special place in our hearts
